A note from our founder
Hi, I'm Meg - mom of two young girls. When I was pregnant with my first, my husband and I moved to a new city and had no family or friends nearby. A neighbor added me to a small group text of new moms in the neighborhood and everything started to feel more manageable.
Those women supported me through pregnancy, the early postpartum months, and every milestone since. The friendships you form in early motherhood are lifelong.
After spending 15 years building products in tech, I started Nested to help other new moms build community during this season of life. It's been the most meaningful work of my career. I hope you'll join us.

Common questions
What's included when I join?
When you sign up, you'll have a quick intro call with someone from Nested so we can learn a little about you. From there, we hand-pick a group of 6-8 women in your area at the same stage of pregnancy or new motherhood and make a warm email introduction. Your group gets a private group text thread to connect, coordinate, and plan from there.
How are groups assigned?
We match by location (your part of the city, based on your zip code), stage (due date or baby’s age), and a few details from your intake form.
How long does it take to get matched?
Most members are matched within 2-3 weeks. In newer cities where we're still building our community, it may take a bit longer. If you haven't been matched within 60 days, you're entitled to a full refund, though if you're open to waiting a little longer, we'll keep working to find you the right group.
How much of a time commitment is this?
As much or as little as your group decides together. Nested makes the introduction, your group sets its own pace for how often you meet and what you do.
Do groups meet in person or virtually?
That's up to your group. Most groups in our early cohorts have planned in-person meetups, but there's no requirement. You decide together what works.
Is my payment refundable?
Yes. If we can't place you in a group within 60 days, you're entitled to a full refund, no questions asked.
What if I don't click with my group?
It happens sometimes, and that's okay. Reach out and we'll do our best to find you a better fit. If after reassignment you're still not satisfied, we're happy to offer a refund.
Is Nested only for people who don't know anyone?
Not at all. Nested is for any new or expecting mom who wants to expand her community, whether you've just moved to a new city, don't have friends who are starting families yet, or simply want to meet more women who are in the same season of life.
Is this only for first-time moms?
No. Nested is open to any expecting mom or mom with a baby or toddler under two, regardless of how many children you have.
What cities are you currently in?
We're currently matching in Washington DC, Atlanta, and Raleigh-Durham. Don't see your city? Join the waitlist and we'll notify you when we expand.
What happens if you can't place me in a group?
We'll keep trying, especially in newer cities where we're still growing. If it takes longer than 60 days, you're entitled to a full refund, but we're also happy to keep working on your match if you're open to waiting. Just let us know.
